Kennedy’s Bar and Grill is holding a fund raiser to raise awareness and reward money to catch the Waldo Rapist. Live music food and drinks. All money raised will be applied toward Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline reward fund, specifically to this case.

Late at night, a man said he was locked out of his house at 9114 Charlotte (no such house) and needed money to pay the locksmith before he could get back in. The “locksmith” was two white guys in a small tan station wagon. The homeowner called the police and reports they said they had about five reports of these guys looking for money for a locksmith. If anyone knocks on your door late at night, call 911.

    · At QT, people were approached by persons claiming their car has run out of gas and asking for “a dollar or two” to help them buy gas to get back home. The hood of the car was raised and the car was crookedly parked at a pump. Similar stories make the round of many CPAC meetings and though is a possibly true, is believed to be a swindle. Why a raised hood if out of gas?

    · A man called at a home in WPHA claiming he was a crime victim of a group of 5 youths he first saw sitting on this homeowner’s yard drinking liquor. He said he was chased and knocked down and robbed at gunpoint. He gave his name and said he was calling at the house to warn the owner to be careful as his children attended the same school as hers. She didn’t know him or recognize his name, nor did her children. He said it happened on 75th street during early evening but nobody observed this and the police have no report of this alleged crime. He may have been trying to talk his way into the house. Be suspicious of everyone and speak through a locked door as this homeowner did.

    · A car was reported stolen from 71st Terrace near Summit this week. The police recommend whenever possible to park cars in driveways rather than the street. The incidence of crimes to cars on the streets is much higher.

A guy claiming to do gutter repairs and assorted home projects has been taking money for materials and taking peoples screens and disappearing. Both have been reported to the police. He is an older African American man with a deep voice. His name is Archie. Call the police if you see him.
