Our annual neighborhood garage sale is always a huge success. We post signs at major intersections and publish a large ad with other homes associations to draw more traffic to our area.

August, 8 a.m. - noonDumpster/Hazmat Day @ Hale Cook SchoolThere is a 300 car limit and you must be a resident of KCMO (ID required). We ask every participant to donate a minimum of one can of food or $1 to benefit local food pantries.

Items that will be collected are: antifreeze, oil, batteries (car and household), paint or paint related products, tires, leaves and brush. From 9-11 a shredder truck will be available to shred documents. Click here to see photos from this year's event!

October, 2-4 p.m.Pumpkin Decorating Event @ Waldo Pizza (back room)Every child gets a small pumpkin to decorate and take home. We only have the room until 4, so please arrive on time!
NovemberFood Drive
DecemberHoliday Homes Judging Three winners will be awarded for imaginative & beautiful lighting displays. Each winner receives a $25.00 gift certificate from Sutherlands and a yard sign designating them a winner. There will also be a $100 award given to the block or partial block whose decorations are the best (the $ can only be used toward the cost of a block party). Start planning your theme and help make our neighborhood one that’s truly special and worth a detour to see!

Homes must be decorated and ready for judging by December 10 and lights should be turned on by 6:00 p.m. for the next three nights. Judges may not be able to view all homes in a single evening due to schedule conflicts or inclement weather.
